Highmark Health Pharmacy Account Manager-DE/WV in Wilmington, Delaware



This job maintains and grows existing business and ensures that positive account relationships are maintained in assigned region. The incumbent assists in the preparation of proposals, meeting materials and/or sales collateral during the account renewal process. Evaluates, recommends and implements processes to ensure that account objectives are met. Serve as the sales liaison between group administrators and the Organization's internal departments for problem resolution. Supports the corporate goal for retention and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to on-site training and implementation of the pharmacy account(s), processes and procedures to all new clients and re-training to existing clients as needed.


  • Responsible for the management and oversight of the pharmacy account(s). On-site training and implementation of processes and procedures to all new clients and re-training to existing clients as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation of pharmacy benefit design analysis for specialized proposals and quotes. Runs financial reports or performs basic financial analysis on utilization data and market research and analysis. Develop detailed specifications for implementation of new pharmacy products for clients.

  • Coordinate, prepare and present regular Account/ Claim reviews for the client, claims staff, legal or any other team member deemed necessary.

  • Coordinate all post-sale, on-going aspects of the company‚Äôs operations and communication with senior level executives at the client level, as well as legal, other Organization companies and outside vendors.

  • Work closely with Sales Support Analysts responsible for account processing and set-up to ensure accurate and seamless service delivery. Develop documents and processes to ensure effective communication via work plans for all account implementation activities.

  • Primary contact for the resolution of the day to day account service issues. Support customers during the implementation of sales contracts and throughout the relationship by resolving difficult issues in a timely and professional manner; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • High School Diploma/GED


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management



  • 3 - 5 years of Client Management experience



  • Producer's License - Accident & Health or obtained within 45 days of hire.
