Highmark Health Customer Alignment Consultant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania



This job executes on projects directly tied to aligning BCBS members to in-network care. The incumbent develops transition projects, manages day-to-day operations of those projects and works with project sponsors (stakeholders across the organization) to design actionable solutions to members aligned with our network providers and facilities. Develops, coordinates and implements elements of Product and Health Services goals throughout commercial and senior markets internally at Highmark and with other BCBS plans with membership in Pennsylvania. Provides value to sales, clients and members throughout the Enterprise and other Blues plans by leading the planning and rapid implementation of high impact campaigns and initiatives. The incumbent will be a key partner in several strategic and tactical level initiatives relating to member alignment.

  • Lead and execute projects focused on transitioning members from UPMC to in-network sites per term agreement provisions. Proactively collaborate with internal teams in supporting and executing full project life-cycle to achieve specific transition outcomes for the benefit members.

  • Work at all levels within the organization to take on challenging, ambiguous and visionary concepts and turn them into well-scoped projects that deliver on Customer Alignment Team goals in a highly efficient manner.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects and executes all core project elements, (e.g., data collection, analysis, stakeholder interviews, stakeholder coordination) to ensure final delivery.

  • Actively leads and coaches various teams working on critical high impact initiatives, participates in trouble shooting and or problem solving and complies with deadlines to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Provides executive-level communication, presentation, and roadmaps to ensure project ownership and delivery.

  • Bachelor's Degree


  • If a candidate has robust experience with BCBS and project management experience


  • Master's Degree



  • 7 - 10 years in the Healthcare Industry

  • 5 - 7 in Communications

  • 5 - 7 in Cross-Functional Team Projects

  • 5 - 7 in Project Management

  • 3 - 5 in Consulting


  • 3 - 5 years in Process Improvement, Sales Account Management or in a Business Analyst role
