Highmark Health Sr IT Infrastructure Technician, 2nd Shift Data Center Operations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
This job leads the monitoring, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing and configuring more complex IT Infrastructure equipment. Leads executing the processing of all more complex computer generated documents according to operational procedures using mainframe printers, laser, net-work, and cut sheet, operating automated in line mailing equipment, as well as associated hardware/software. May mentor less experienced team members. The second shift hours are from 2:45pm - 11:15pm Sunday thru Thursday.
Lead the execution of processing flow in accordance with operating procedures to ensure the prompt and accurate processing of more complex computer generated data. This involves taking a lead role in the proper balancing and prioritization of more complex workflows in order to optimize utilization of resources to meet customer requirements.
Lead in the identification and solving of more complex problems affecting electronic output; Hardware and/or software related. Lead the interaction, on a daily basis, with internal and external customers, and/or vendors, support staff, and customer engineers for hardware maintenance.
Ensure compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes.
Perform basic troubleshooting of network, security, and application errors.
Work with vendors to schedule repairs/maintenance for storage, server, and networking devices at the Data Center and other facilities.
Communicate effectively with members of our team and other teams in order to resolve issues quickly should they arise.
Responsible for initializing backups and maintaining accurate records of all physical storage media.
Other duties as assigned or requested.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology
