Highmark Health Senior Sales Support Financial Analyst in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania

I. GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Sales Support Financial Analyst performs financial and business related research and analysis in direct support of one or more Sales/Customer Account Market Groups. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting for one or more sales incentive plans and conducting and documenting financial analysis projects.

II. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Communication with Management at Highmark, subsidiaries, affiliates, other third parties, etc. as to project status and completion deadlines. Advises management of expected outcomes and recommends improvements. Conducts presentations to all levels of management and staff in order to provide a summary of analysis regarding financial results, incentive results and incentive plan design.

  2. Performs financial and business related analysis

  • Analyzes, evaluates and interprets appropriate financial and statistical data. Independently pursues fundamental problem solving and documents the recommendations to management.

  • Develops and/or documents business policies, conducts special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses.

  • Conducts financial and business related analyses and research including the preparation of forecasts, budgets and/or incentive goals and results.

  1. Facilitation of analysis and reporting.
  • Utilizes computer to develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases, and retrieve or display financial information.

  • Utilizing PC and/or mainframe based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.

  1. Projects
  • Serves as a project lead for special projects within the department.

  • Administers one or more Sales Incentive Plans, including the preparation of ad hoc reports; to include but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.

  • Administers one or more Financial Activities in direct support of one or more Sales Markets, such as Administrative Budgets, Enrollment Forecasts, Risk Management, Corporate Operations recovery, etc; to include but not limited to; gathering of data, analysis, documentation of findings, and calculation of results and generation of reports for distribution.

5.Other duties as assigned or requested.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • High School Diploma

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with EXCEL is required.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of ACCESS

  • 4 year degree in Finance, Accounting, IT and/or related fields

  • Prior experience handling confidential information

  • Prior technical experience building, maintaining and/or manipulating database

  • Prior experience handling Sales compensation/ incentive payout data

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Exposure and experience working with Executives

  • Prior experience partnering with an HR Compensation team
